Martinez’ first retrospective solo art show in Austin is titled “The River of Life” featuring 51 oil on canvas paintings from his early stage in the 90’s to his latest works in the recent years. These paintings depict his technique of magical realism, which mixes reality with fantasy and incorporates memories of his life in Cuba and new social insights into the American society.
